Originally I studied to be a Graphic Designer at Leeds Polytechnic (in the pre-computer days when we had ‘Polys’), unfortunately the world was not ready for my take on frozen food packets!

I rediscovered my drawing skills about 5 years ago and have gone on to re-learn how to paint, a fantastic experience that continues today.

As with any artist the learning experience is ongoing, there are such a wealth of subjects and materials to try and master. My inspiration is drawn from the natural world, using predominantly watercolour as my means of expression.

A combination of working from life and my own photography provide the raw materials for my work in an interpretive way
